Tonight's TV tips: Hospital, Women Who Kill, The National Television Awards
What to watch and review on Wednesday, January 25.
The National Television Awards (ITV, 7.30pm) Unfunny Dermot O’Leary hosts as a galaxy of stars gather at London’s O2 arena to celebrate a year of mediocrity. Top shows in the running for honours include Cold Feet, Peaky Blinders, Strictly and The X Factor. Warning: this sprawling festival of celebrity back-slapping goes on for two and a half hours.
Hospital (BBC2, 9pm) Episode three of the powerful documentary series chronicling the harsh realities of the NHS crisis and the daily battle for beds at chronically overcrowded hospitals. If you care about the future of free healthcare, this is required viewing.
Women Who Kill (Channel 4, 10pm) What drives women to murder? Interviews with three homicidal American females. Including Amber Hilberling who pushed her husband through a 25th floor window. After Amber passionately protested her innocence on film, she committed suicide in prison.
