What to watch and review on Monday: The Halcyon, Corrie, EastEnders...
What to watch and review on Monday, January 9.
Coronation Street (ITV, 7.30 and 8.30pm) Weatherfield’s busy bonk-go-round keeps on spinning as robot Robert declares his undying love to a shocked Michelle who is rather more concerned with the results of her scan. Oh baby… there may be trouble ahead.
EastEnders (BBC1, 8pm) No wonder loony landlord Mick moans about not having any money, he hands out cash like a man possessed. Not content with baling out his weird liar son Lee, now he’s desperately trying to find more loot to give to Linda’s mum Elaine.
The Halcyon (ITV, 9pm) Episode two of the promising hotel drama as the recently widowed Lady Hamilton takes over the reins and vows to get rid of her philandering husband’s keeper of secrets Garland, the under-pressure manager who turns out to have a major gambling problem.
The Week We Went Wild (Channel 5, 10pm) A dysfunctional family on the point of imploding heads to the Panamanian jungle to see if braving the wilds together can cure their problems. After having eight children by six different fathers, Dawn’s kids are sick of her penchant for serial dating. Sorry, but you have to laugh. Hilarious!
