What to watch and review on Thursday, October 6.
EastEnders (BBC1, 7.30pm) Soppy Pam struggles to tell cross-dressing undertaker Les about her meeting with the killer’s mother. And Jane decides to return to work at the restaurant. Much to the annoyance of reformed lunatic Stephen.
The Apprentice (BBC1, 9pm) Series 12 of the programme that never changes. Persuaded to boast like idiots by the string-pulling producers, this year’s 18 losers first take on the antiques challenge and try to sell a load of old junk for as much money as possible. The captain of the boys’ team insists he’s the man for the job because he’s seen Bargain Hunt. Meanwhile, snarly “Lord” Sugar will continue to practise his outmoded form of bullying. So what’s new? Nothing.
The Fall (BBC2, 9pm) The world’s worst detective Stella Gibson is grilled by the police ombudsman over her shambolic handling of the case. And when seedy serial killer Paul Spector’s name is released, his family has to deal with the consequences. Stars Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan.
Paranoid (ITV, 9pm) After plummeting about 20,000 feet into the water last week, Alex is pulled from the deep and rushed to hospital where he receives an unexpected visitor. Over in Germany, crazy cop Linda finally realises that Ruben Locan’s death was not an accident.
Hunted (Channel 4, 9pm) Former plods sit glued to CCTV footage while a gaggle of dorks run around the country trying not to get caught. Unable to catch a cold, the rubbish investigators resort to dogs and aerial drones to track down the fugitives.
