Love Island: The Live Final (ITV2, 9pm) Which of the gormless couples trapped in a stupefying cycle of pretend romance will win the £50,000 first prize shortly before splitting the money and splitting up? Will it be vertically challenged crimper Kem and Amber? Or could Jamie and crybaby Camilla pip them to the post? Not forgetting Chris & Olivia and Marcel & Gabby. Ooh, it’s all so nail-biting. Live from sunny Majorca, host Caroline Flack proudly presents the gripping grand finale. Jokes aside, this series has been a phenomenal hit. Any idea why?

Ripper Street (BBC2, 9pm) The last ever episode of the Victorian crime drama that triumphed over the Beeb’s attempts to axe it and earned itself a substantial army of devoted fans. There’s a lot of time jumping as we go back and forwards to bring the various stories to their conclusion. With poor old DI Reid still on the trail of the elusive Ripper, don’t expect a happy ending.
