Tonight's TV tips: Loaded, The Island, Little Boy Blue and Corrie
What to watch and review on Monday, May 8.
Coronation Street (ITV, 7.30 & 8.30pm) New mum Leanne is left distraught after baby Oliver loses consciousness on a trip to the seaside and has to be rushed to hospital. Meanwhile, is Shona ready to reveal the Platts’ murder secret?
EastEnders (BBC1, 8pm) Squabbling siblings Martin and Michelle head to the allotments to reminisce about those long-ago days when they both had different heads. And Lauren launches her high-flying career with a power point presentation at the office. Big deal.
MasterChef (BBC1, 9pm) It’s the final week as the last five culinary wannabes cook a formal dinner at the American embassy before returning to the studio to create a special dish inspired by their personal lives. At the end of tonight’s hour long helping, one of them gets the chop.
Little Boy Blue (ITV, 9pm) Episode three of the drama chronicling the real life police investigation into the killing of 11 year-old football fan Rhys Jones. Sadly, there’s bad news for top cop Dave Kelly (Stephen Graham) when a key witness is intimidated into changing her statement.
The Island With Bear Grylls (Channel 4, 9pm) More friction in the battle to survive as the intrepid campers are deluged by a series of torrential downpours and unhappy duo Jane and Karen split from the rest to form a splinter group.
Loaded (Channel 4, 10pm) Four feckless friends suddenly become super rich after selling their smart phone game for £246million. So, what do they do next? Damned if they know. Will this brand new show be that rare thing on British TV… a sitcom that’s funny?
