EastEnders (BBC1, 8pm) In the endless saga of greedy Ian Beale’s battle of the bulge, our porky hero joins a slimming club. Meanwhile, there are no over-eating problems for starving Denise who is forced to hit the local foodbank in search of sustenance.
Coronation Street (ITV, 7.30 & 8.30pm) The not particularly interesting who-didn’t-kill-Ken guessing game continues apace as Adam points the finger at desperate Daniel. In other news, Nick decides to hold baby Oliver’s naming ceremony at The Bistro. Where else?
Little Boy Blue (BBC1, 9pm) Concluding episode of Jeff Pope’s powerful drama based on the real-life nightmare of the murder of Liverpool schoolboy Rhys Jones. As the sneering culprits are finally brought to trial, the judge tells his distraught mother Mel (Sinead Keenan) to stop sobbing in case her grief affects the jury. This actually happened.
Ivanka Trump: America’s Real First Lady (Channel 4, 9pm) It’s no secret that The Donald’s wife Melania is none too keen on the Washington scene, so the First Lady role appears to have fallen to the President’s daughter Ivanka. Reporter Matt Friel investigates whether she’s a moderating influence on her father’s tempestuous tendencies. Or is she just another White House lackey who does what she’s told?
