What to watch and review on Monday. Tonight’s TV tips

Coronation Street (ITV, 7.30 & 8.30pm) The calamitous Platt family play the three-generation game as granny Gail and mummy Sarah try to persuade dim daughter Bethany that, all things considered, nasty Nathan the pimp isn’t the world’s greatest fiancé. On balance, Bethany thinks he is.

Lord Lucan: My Husband, the Truth (ITV, 9pm) After more than 40 years of mystery, Lady Lucan breaks her silence and concedes in an exclusive interview that her dysfunctional marriage to a feckless aristocrat gambler led to their nanny’s murder. Big Brother (Channel 5, 9pm) Welcome to Series 18 (count ‘em!) as the pioneering reality TV show insists it will deliver “an alternative look at Britain”. As in, an appalling bunch of fame-hungry halfwits fighting while locked in a house full of cameras for two turbulent months. Hosts Emma Willis and Rylan Clark-Neal referee the extended punch-up.

Love Island (ITV2, 9pm) On the social media, this annual gathering of airhead wannabes will look like an important event that’s gripping the nation. On the telly, it will get the kind of ratings that would disappoint an 11am cooking show. Either way, stand by for sun-kissed weeks of steamy romance as the lusty contestants are encouraged to go among each other and ITV films them having sex. That's entertainment! Hosting the seedy proceedings from a horrible footballers’ wives-style mansion in Majorca, is Ex Factor sensation Caroline Flack. Remember her?
