Here we go again. Big Brother. It’s series 17 (count ‘em!) and there’s a long summer ahead. Are you looking forward to it? Or are you filled with a sense of dread?

Watch the fame hungry wannabes file into Channel 5’s house of horror (or should that be two houses of horror?) and prepare for the usual stories of love, war and desperation. That’s entertainment.

Let’s face it, the contestants are bound to be ludicrous losers. As always. Are these awful people funny? Or just plain irritating? Maybe, some of them might even be likeable. But don’t bet the farm on it.

Anyway, here’s your chance to have your say. Watch the launch show (Channel 5, 9pm)and send us your reviews. Get your opinions on You The Critic. We look forward to hearing from you. Get writing!

The show has lost its values, It's supposed to be about watching normal people with 24 hour feed. Sounds simple but Channel 5 has other ideas turning the show into a clone of some crap show on MTV. Scrapping the feed so they can control the show even more. Even through the show was build on live feed on the first place. People don't want zelebs in normal big brother. They want to see normal people interact like the Channel 4 series without any medding which Channel 5 do every 5 mins. All in all its BB I'm name only until they get there core back. Instead of this one hour a night show that everyone will forget to watch in a weeks time.

The show is not supposed to be about watching normal people on a 24 hour feed. When was the last time you saw normal people in the Big Brother house? Who wants normal people anyway? They're boring. The 24 hour feed was abandoned because not enough viewers watched it to justify the cost. Simply economics. The manic Big Brother you see now is what the show has become. It's still pretty popular so the producers must be getting it a fair bit right. Channel 4 meddled every bit as much Channel 5 does.

When Love island first launched remember the Hammering Big brother Gave it?
Since Channel 5 took over the format instead of realising the fanbase this show already had all they needed to do was keep it simple and learn the mistakes C4 ended up doing.

After making some progress in getting the show back to the original format its transformation into TOWIE/Love island is complete the only problem is those shows do it so much better.

"Normal" big brother will never pull in the viewers it did 7-8 years ago but they pushed so many original and now older fans away, for any commercial network to do that is just complete madness.

The original format is doing fine around the world its only struggling in the countries that followed C5's vision, why bother with the elaborate house the nasty twists and even nastier housemates when viewers only get to see 45 minutes? they even axed the twitter updates.

C5/Viacom seem happy enough for the show to pull in 1-1,5 million viewers but if they just listen to the fans and accept a lot of changes simply haven't worked 2 million is more than achievable. But also showing they don't just have to rely on CBB Its just really sad seeing the show in its current state.

The very nature of the show is about renewal new housemates, new conflicts alliances. but they keep putting in clones of the same people year on year so the renewal just doesn't happen
