Len Goodman's Partners In Rhyme

At long last the BBC returns to proper Saturday Entertainment for all generations, fronted by a talented, well liked elderly statesman with the common touch. Enough about the tribute to Sir Bruce Forsyth, let's talk about Len Goodman's Partners in Rhyme.

So the premise of this programme is celebrities pair up with members of the public and identify a rhyme from a photograph.

Ideal, Len the host is a pleasant cheeky chappy, a Cockerney...what could go wrong?

Well maybe simply everything, a poorly thought out quiz format which wouldn't be out of place at 3pm on a weekday on C4 (the space presently occupied by Noel Edmonds latest dismal offering).

Non celebrities with little bon ami , an over colourful set which would not look out of place on Children's TV and Len having to try far to hard as no aspect of this programme works.

We know it can be done Sir Bruce, taught us this.

Sorry BBC, wanted so much to like this, to use the rhyming vernacular, even Friar Tuck wouldn't give a Fig.
